BEQUIA THREADWORKS
Bequia Threadworks is a nonprofit organisation based on the island of Bequia in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. We ethically produce our own collections under the resortwear brand NOYO and feature handmade pieces by other local designers and artisans. Our Boutique is rapidly distinguishing itself within St. Vincent and the Grenadines as the shopping destination, synonymous with high quality production, exceptional customer service and unique style.
Our collection of womens- and menswear is designed and manufactured in house by our talented team, including a fashion designer, patternmaker and ten seamstresses, creating a unique business model within our community.
Alongside fashion and lifestyle, customers can also work directly with our Production Centre to bring to life custom projects, including drapery, homewares, alterations and repairs, bespoke embroidery, and uniforms for local businesses.

Our mission is to promote economic freedom and women’s empowerment on the island through employment and training.
Why it Matters
With the household economy on island predominantly reliant on highly seasonal tourism, it is challenging to maintain well-paid, year-round employment. As a result, economic mobility and
quality of life for the average family remains limited.

We were founded in 2018 with the goal to create more fulfilling opportunities on Bequia by offering training and high quality employment. To date, 120 men and women have completed our training programmes, and we have grown a 15-strong team of women who are the heart and soul of the organisation. With this financial stability, our team is better able to support their families and themselves, while creating offshoot businesses and entrepreneurial opportunities within the larger community.
