Odini Sutherland
DESIGN & PRODUCT MANAGER
Odini is a gifted and experienced designer from St. Vincent with a BA (Hons) Fashion from Ravensbourne, London, and has shown collections throughout the region and Europe. She recently joined the team to fill the gap of an inhouse creative and help take Bequia Threadworks to international status. She researches and designs collections for the brand whilst maintaining the inspirations of Caribbean culture. Her responsibilities include garment design, fabric sourcing, and working with our production team to meet production targets and timelines.

Brennel Goodluck
PRODUCTION MANAGER & PATTERN MAKER
Brennel bridges the creative and production processes, leading the pattern making for our apparel collections and custom orders. She also holds a managerial role within the Production Centre, where she oversees operations. An experienced seamstress, Brennel was first taught by her mother and our Community Instructional Trainer, Jenet. She is one of our first five employees, and her hard work and passion have led to well-deserved promotions.

Veshka Alves
PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
Veshka always dreamed of working in a position better suited for her creativity and talents. She was finally able to make that move when a position opened up with us in 2022. For her, it is an added bonus to wake up every day excited to work in an environment where people genuinely care for one another. She assists the Production Manager in overseeing the Centre, conducting quality control and ensuring everyone is on task.
Charmain Ollivierre
ARTISAN SEAMSTRESS
Charmain is a highly skilled and meticulous seamstress with over 40 years of experience. Alongside her sister Gemma, Charmain has been with us since the very beginning. A naturally reserved individual, Charmain never stops learning and challenging herself - with no intentions of retiring any time soon! Charmain also loves gardening and sharing the abundance she produces with her friends and family.
Nasha Ragguette
ARTISAN SEAMSTRESS
With a pre-existing talent for crochet and macrame, Nasha’s creativity and attention to detail became a solid foundation for her skills to flourish. Now an Artisan Seamstress, Nasha has progressed greatly since starting with us in 2018. Before working with Bequia Threadworks, she struggled to maintain employment with her three sons and their medical needs. Steady work, an accommodating schedule and peer support have helped Nasha substantially.

Gemma Cordice
ARTISAN SEAMSTRESS
Before joining Bequia Threadworks, Gemma worked on the nearby Grenadine island of Mustique sewing designs for a local boutique. She is one of our most senior and experienced seamstresses, and known to rally the production team through to the finish line. She loves being back on her island home alongside her family and community.
Gemma shares, "I cherish having been able to take time off when I was going through a difficult period. I will never forget the sincerity of my coworkers and managers during that moment of need."
Ellen Hazell
ARTISAN SEAMSTRESS
Ellen was able to leave behind her job as a waitress to pursue a career aligned with her passions and talents as a seamstress. Sewing runs deep in her veins. Both her grandmothers were well-known seamstresses in Bequia, and it is clear that this gene lives on. Much of Ellen’s current role involves cutting and pinning fabric for our apparel collections and custom orders.

Ella Mitchell-Sutton
SOCIAL MEDIA & COMMUNICATONS COORDINATOR
Ella joined us in 2021 and is responsible for various copywriting needs, from social media to advertising. Bequia Threadworks was one of the first organisations that allowed her to work in her field, and combine her two favourite passions: writing and fashion. She also appreciates our strides towards sustainability as this is still so rare in the fashion industry.

Zoe Cordice
ARTISAN SEAMSTRESS
Zoe joined the organisation in late 2020 and quickly became a very valuable member of the production team. A fast-learner and excellent with details, she works on aspects like cuffs and pockets. She appreciates the international market we are reaching, and how something she has produced can touch the life of a person from across the globe. Zoe is a long-time community organiser and champion, always giving back to her island home in many ways.
Asheika Ollivierre
ARTISAN SEAMSTRESS
Though involved in all aspects of the sewing process, Asheika’s work predominantly focuses on the final touches, such as buttons, zippers and pockets. She has been with us since 2018, and has rapidly evolved with little experience in sewing to becoming a talented and established seamstress. Asheika’s accomplishments have granted her the ability to better provide for her two sons, Tyrike and Drew.
Hozena Stowe
ARTISAN SEAMSTRESS
Hozena, our newest staff member, started off in our apprenticeship program. It was her determination and eagerness to learn that set her apart. Since officially joining our team, she has come far and fits in so well with everyone. She envisions us retailing our collections across the Caribbean, and wants to one day pass on her knowledge to youth in the community: the next generation of seamstresses
on the island.

Kasandra Hazell
ALTERATIONS SPECIALIST
Kasandra is your go-to seamstress for all alterations and repairs. She will discuss your needs, accurately take measurements, and make the necessary changes to perfection. Not one to idle, she quickly jumps into our production line when her work slows and loves supporting the other seamstresses. Sewing is Kasandra's passion. When not sewing at home for friends and family, you might find her on the beach organising a cookout or relaxing in the sea.

Indiria Andrews
EMBROIDERY TECHNICIAN
Anything embroidered at Bequia Threadworks was likely the work of Indiria! She uses our state-of-the-art commercial embroidery machine to recreate company logos and execute original designs. She is known for lending a helping hand, often supporting the team with sewing, labelling and ironing tasks. Indiria, who is raising a young baby girl with her partner, is excited to see the brand grow and continue offering opportunities for even more
people on Bequia.
Janet Miller
CLEANER
Working between the Boutique and the Production Centre, Janet ensures our spaces are always clean, comfortable and organised. She has been a part of the team since we first opened our doors and is well loved by all. The steady employment provided allows her to support her three children, including twin girls!

Jenet Leach
COMMUNITY INSTRUCTIONAL TRAINER
From student to teacher, Jenet is a prime example of how far your talents can take you. She teaches our beginner and intermediate sewing courses, passing on her knowledge to other members within the community. Jenet always encourages people to learn something new, especially the youth, because you never know what might come from it. Jenet cannot wait to further develop our community programmes and introduce more courses into our curriculum.
