So much is happening behind the scenes to bring a bit of Bequia to your doorstep. We have designed and manufactured NOYO’s first collection, captured some gorgeous imagery we are excited to share, and are almost ready to launch our new website!
As a nonprofit with a vision to boost household income on the island, expanding beyond our shores has always been our ambition. Our ability to get product into your hands no matter where you are means sustaining employment for our seamstresses year round. Life in Bequia has many perks, but the seasonality of tourism is not one of them. Like other businesses in the Grenadines, we have struggled to generate a profit during the island’s off season. By adding online shopping to our repertoire, we are changing this narrative for ourselves and our team.
Achieving this dream from a small island has meant jumping through several logistical hoops: from navigating banking limitations to establishing the most effective export routes and building relationships with experts in ecommerce and global distribution. Very few businesses in St. Vincent and the Grenadines have accomplished this feat because of the many challenges, and we hope to help trailblaze a path forward for many to come.
