SEWING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES
Since 2018, Bequia Threadworks has been dedicated to empowering the community through sewing education and skills development. With our training initiatives, we have created opportunities for individuals to learn, grow and build confidence in the garment and creative industries.
Sewing Courses
We offer Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Sewing Courses for members of the community. To date, more than 180 men and women have successfully completed our programs, gaining practical skills that can lead to employment, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. Many members of the Bequia Threadworks team first began their journey with us as students in these very courses.
Apprenticeship Opportunities
In the past, we have also provided apprenticeship programs, allowing participants to gain hands-on industry experience and further develop their skills. These opportunities help bridge the gap between learning and employment, nurturing the next generation of talented seamstresses and garment makers. We look forward to bringing this back soon.
